Eric practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, the main healing modalities within Chinese medicine. These two therapeutic approaches can treat a surprisingly wide range of diseases and conditions. They can also form the basis of a wellness plan to maintain one’s health and lifestyle.
Eric completed all of his Chinese medicine training in Beijing, studying at one of the leading Chinese medicine universities in the country, and training with some of the most respected physicians in the city. His specialties include the treatment of:

- Gynecological Disorders, including Infertility
- Dermatological (Eczema/ Psoriasis/Acne) Disorders
During his many years in China, Eric was very involved in ethnographic and historical research on Chinese medicine. He has published several academic articles on Chinese medicine and is currently working on a book about how Chinese medicine and Western medicine are being integrated into contemporary Chinese hospitals.

Eric is a professor of Anthropology at Appalachian Sate University. He, his wife and their three children recently moved to Boone from Chapel Hill. He is excited to get to know more people in the community and share the knowledge that he has learned in China.
